Soup pots and collection bins will be in the Narthex and Peake Commons on January 26 and on GAME DAY! February 2, as our youth collect non-perishable food items and money to support Iron Gate Ministry of Tulsa.
** Iron Gate can especially use SOUP & STEW items: hearty soups, stews, chilis, etc. We’ve been told that these things are especially helpful right now. Your donations really do matter! **
This will be the 8th year the youth of Harvard Avenue have joined the nation-wide SOUPER BOWL OF CARING. The idea is to bring one food item and one dollar per person in your family. Of course, you’re always welcome to do more!
In 2019 we collected $1691 and more than 900 food items. What can we do this year?!
By joining our team, you become part of a movement that benefits people right in our own city. Since opening at their new location in the fall, Iron Gate has served an average of 728 meals a day (an increase of 30% over last year)! Iron Gate provides grocery assistance to families 3 times per week, and provides more than 11,000 Kids Packs every year.
