The definition of FITNESS is ‘enjoying the gift of good health’. The balance of mind, body, and spirit contribute to a full life, improved cognitive function, and have been shown to lower blood pressure, stress, anxiety, and depression. Here are a few ways to be part of HEALTH & FITNESS @ Harvard Ave !
** All fitness groups enter through the far west doors
of the Family Life Center (nearest the park). **
Perfect for everybody and every body! Each Zumba® class mixes low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party. It’s often called “exercise in disguise”. A total workout, combining all elements of fitness – cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility, boosted energy and a serious dose of awesome each time you leave class.
Led by certified instructor Kris Farnsworth, classes meet twice weekly (Tuesday/Thursday 5:30pm) in the Family Life Center (gym), and on other days as weather permits on the northwest patio (Monday/Wednesday 5:30pm, Saturday/Sunday 2:00pm).
Cost of classes is still ‘pay what you want’. Before COVID, classes were $20 for 5 classes (or $4 per class if you pay by session). Donations are accepted through PayPal and CashApp.
Contact Kris with questions, to join his email list, and for full information.
