Youth ministry is based on relationship – both our relationship with God and our relationship with each other. Our goal is to connect teenagers to Jesus through spirituality, community, and mission.
We have Sunday morning and Wednesday evening gatherings weekly, plus large group activities, and smaller group events during the month.
Worship : 9:30am Modern Worship (sanctuary)
Sunday School : 11:00am
Youth sit together in worship (or with their families) in 9:30am Modern Worship, and gather for Youth Sunday School at 11:00am on Sunday mornings in the Youth Center. We start by spending some time together and opening in prayer, we then split into separate groups (middle school / high school) and spend some quality time hanging out and in group Bible Study.
Wednesday Night Youth
6pm-8pm Middle School // 7pm-9pm High School
The youth meet on most Wednesday nights in The Youth Center between 6-9pm. Our Middle School group has their free hour between 6-7pm, while our High School group has their free hour between 8-9pm. At 7pm we bring all of our students together for a time of sharing and prayer then transition to our youth worship space for worship with the band and a time of teaching.
Youth Ministry @ Harvard Ave serves middle school and high school students, grades 6 to 12. We also have several college students who give their time and are connected to our ministry. The focus of our groups is relationship and connection. Many of our regularly attending youth bring friends; they are always welcome.
We focus on missions as a way of life. We serve both locally with numerous organizations and partner churches, and on large scale mission trips. We frequently have a spring break mission trip and separate summer high school and middle school mission trips.
We are always looking for energetic and open people to be part of our youth group experience – both in our sponsors and in our youth. Your knowledge of the Bible or past church participation is not as important as your willingness to share a genuine relationship with the rest of the group and your openness to a spiritual relationship with God. We want you to feel comfortable in sharing your experiences, your wisdom, and your love for the Lord with us.
