Our Mission
We exist to show children what it looks like and feels like to live and love like Jesus.
Our Vision
We celebrate the unique individuality, playful curiosity, and budding spirituality of every child, so they can understand who God created them to be, learn about their faith, and develop a deep relationship with Jesus.
What To Expect
Infants and Toddlers
We’re grateful for the opportunity to serve your children right from the start.
Sunday Mornings
Nursery Open | 9:15am-12:15pm
We ask that you bring a diaper bag with everything your child may need during their time with us. And please label everything!
Snacks will be provided, so please note any allergies.
Wednesday Evenings
Nursery Open | 5:45-8:15pm
Preschoolers
We love helping our preschoolers discover who God is.
Sunday Mornings
Children’s Worship | 9:30-10:45am
Children may stay with their parents in the sanctuary or join Children’s Worship after the opening songs. Here, they’ll experience worship on their level through singing, storytelling, Bible basics, prayer, response, and feast time.
Preschool Environment | 10:45am–12:00pm
Our Preschool environment is located in the Green Apples classroom.
Kids will participate in active learning and Bible stories, making faith fun through age-appropriate experiences.
Wednesday Evenings
Preschool Environment | 6:00-8:00pm
Preschoolers can be part of activities that build connection, including play time in the Family Life Center and Green Apples classroom.
K-5th Graders
We’re grateful for the opportunity to serve your children right from the start.
Sunday Mornings
Children’s Worship | 9:30-10:45am
Children may stay with their parents in the sanctuary or join Children’s Worship after the opening songs. Here, they’ll experience worship on their level through singing, storytelling, Bible basics, prayer, response, and feast time.
K-5th Grade Environments | 10:45am–12:00pm
Kids are divided into class segments by grade (K & 1st, 2nd & 3rd, 4th & 5th) where they will participate in active learning and Bible stories, making faith fun through age-appropriate experiences.
Wednesday Evenings
K-5th Grade Free Play | 6:00-6:30pm & 7:30-8:00pm
Kids are invited to build community with free play outside or in the Family Life Center.
Kids can also build deep connections by participating in service projects, faith building, activities, and enjoying snacks.

What age groups are included in Children’s Ministry at Harvard Avenue?
We serve families with children from birth through 5th Grade in our Nursery, Preschool, and K-5th Grade environments.

What if I need to access my kids during the service?
Our Children’s Welcome Desk Attendant is available to check your family in, anytime you need to access your children, or to answer any questions for you.

For Infants and Toddlers, what should I bring in the diaper bag?
We ask that you bring diapers, wipes, diaper cream, a change of clothes, a pacifier or teether if needed, bottles and formula, and a comfort item, as well as anything else you think your child will need while they’re with us.

Are snacks provided?
Yes! In many of our environments we do provide snacks to your children. For this reason, please alert us of any allergies.

Will my kids be safe there?
All of our staff and volunteers working with your kids are thoroughly trained, CPR certified, and background checked, and we work to create the safest environment possible for your kids. You may view our safety policies here.

How can I engage with what my kids are learning in their environments?
Parents can access themes, Bible stories, and devotions any time using the Parent Cue App! Find further instructions at the Children’s Welcome Center.
