Event Details:
The Gospel of Mark is widely regarded as the earliest of the four gospels, written at a time when the Jesus movement was still fragile—still asking fundamental questions about identity, faithfulness, and hope in a world shaped by empire. Mark does not offer a polished or sentimental portrait of Jesus. Instead, it gives us a story that moves quickly, sometimes breathlessly, and often uncomfortably. It is a gospel that refuses easy answers—and that may be exactly why it is such a fitting companion for the season of Lent.
Join Pastor David on Wednesday evenings during Lent, beginning February 25, for a thoughtful group study and conversation centered on the Gospel of Mark. We’ll gather from 6–8p, starting the evening together in the Chapel with dinner. Here’s how the night will flow:
6:00-6:30 … Dinner
6:30-7:15 … Teaching
7:15-8:00 … Table Discussion
